City of Dallas Winter Storm Response

In response to this emergency and to the damage that was caused, the Enterprise GIS group began producing applications and dashboards to assist various departments throughout the City of Dallas. EGIS team members worked through the power outages and while dealing with damages that the storm caused to their own homes. From a damage assessment application and dashboard to an application to identify those in need and ensure the equitable distribution of water to the citizens. To help track the damages that the storm caused to the city's facilities the EGIS group created a maps and application. The interactive map shown to the right is populated with dynamic data from the city's 311 system as well as a mobile application that city personnel can use from any mobile device.
