Lactic acid bacteria play important roles in ensilages. Monitoring the changes of their populations during corn stover ensiling are helpful for improving the silage quality. Corn stover was harvested and ensiled in mini silos for a period of 45 days. Bacterial communities based on 16S rDNA sequencing were described along with the fermentation process.
