Roman funeral altar of Canídia Albina, Evora

Roman funeral altar of Canídia Albina dated between the year 201 AD and 285 AD from the walls of Évora. It is carved in marble and richly decorated with plant motifs, a jug and a patera. On its main face it retains the following inscription: "D(is). M(anibus). CANIDIAE ALBINAE C(larissimae). M(emoriae). F(eminae). MATRI CATIN(ii) CANIDIANI. C(larissimae). M(emoriae). V(iri) CONSOBRINI SVI CATINIA. M(arci). FIL(ia). ACILIANA. C(larissima). F(emina) S(ua). P(ecunia). F(ecit)". It is currently preserved in the Frei Manuel do Cenáculo National Museum (Évora, Portugal). Catalog No. ME1718.
