The goal of the RNA-Seq was to investigate the transcriptome changes induced by eno mutation in tomato reproductive meristems. Results of this RNA-Seq analysis provides valuable information for understanding the transcriptional regulation of floral meristem size in tomato.Overall design: Three biological replicates per genotype were sequenced, each one with at least 30 reproductive meristems. Tomato plants were grown under greenhouse conditions in natural sunlight (13-to 14h photoperiod). Daytime and night- time temperatures were 26-34 °C and 20-25 °C, respectively. Standard management practices were used including regular addition of fertilizers. Total RNA from reproductive meristem samples was isolated using TRIZOL (Invitrogen Life Technologies, San Diego, CA) following the manufacturer’s instructions. Contaminating DNA was removed using the DNA-freeTM kit (Ambion, Austin, TX, USA). Libraries were prepared according to the Illumina TruSeq RNA protocol and sequenced with paired-end 150 bp on the Illumina HiSeq2000 platform (Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA, USA).
