Whole Genome sequencing of novel Turicibacter sp.. Turicibacter faecis strain:TC023

Human gut microbiome includes the numerous unculturable bacteria whose functions and phenotypes remain unknown. Turicibacter sanguinis has been characterized as a gut microbiome expressing a serotonin transporter, results in regulating the lipid and steroid metabolism in gut. We isolated and identified a novel unculturable strain TC023, which belongs to the family Turicibacter. The aim of this study is to determine the whole genome sequence of Turicibacter sp. TC023 strain and elucidate the functions in gut.
