We report a novel mouse model that can faithfully mimic human EoE Overall design: EoE: Three to four month old Cre+; IKKBL/L mice and littermate controls (IkkßL/L) were treated topically on the ears for 14 days with 2nmol of MC903 (Tocris Bioscience) and 100 µg of OVA , once daily. On day 15 and 17, mice were challenged intraesophageally (IE) with 50 mg OVA. Sensitization: Cre+;IkkßL/L mice and littermate (IkkßL/L) genetic controls were treated on the ears with a combination of MC903 and OVA and gavaged with water. Vehicle: Cre+;IkkßL/L mice and littermate genetic controls were treated on the ears with a combination of ethanol and PBS and gavaged with water.
