The invention relates to a device for coating profiled sections (10)， comprising a conveyor device (16) for the profiled sections， a measuring device (24) for measuring the conveyor speed of the profiled sections， and an application device (20) for applying a coating material， pulled as a continuous web (12) from a roller (14)， to said profiled sections， and characterised by the presence of a rotational speed measurement device (28) for measuring the rotational speed of said roller (14)， and an evaluation device (26) for calculating the length of the web (12) available on the roller (14) based on the rotational speed and the conveyor speed that have been measured.
