资源简介:
This repository contains the data used for the manuscript entitled: "Resistance against tree encroachment is driven by richness and identity of herbaceous resident species". This investigates the potential of herbaceous plant covers in inhibiting tree encroachment, focusing on the resistance against two undesirable native tree species, Acer rubrum and Betula populifolia, over an extended period. Both species frequently establish in unmanaged grasslands and old fields. They also frequently encroach under electrical powerline rights-of-way in northeastern North America, where they are considered a nuisance requiring frequent control operation.
