These albums contain photographs of miscellaneous defence construction work in the Northern Territory during World War II. Construction was undertaken by the NSW government on behalf of the Commonwealth government and took place over four time periods: September to December 1940, June to December 1941, May to November 1942 and in 1943 to 1944.
