Surface Water Frequency Product of the Tibetan Plateau from 1982 to 2023

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is called the "Asian Water Tower" and plays a crucial role in the global water cycle, making it a focal point in global change research. This study utilizes a rapid extraction algorithm for land surface water bodies based on prior knowledge to extract land surface water information from the long time series data of Landsat satellites, producing a 30-meter resolution land surface water-frequency product for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. This product, offering information on the location, extent, and frequency of land surface water, serves as fundamental data support for water resource monitoring, ecological environment protection, and climate change research in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
