Comparative Molecular Analysis of IL-17A and IL-23 Pathway Inhibition in Moderate-to-Severe Psoriasis: 4-Week Results from IXORA-R

The purpose of this head-to-head study was to gain molecular insights into the MOA for IXE and GUS in PsO and to compare and contrast the gene expression profiles at early time-points for IXE targeting IL-17A and GUS targeting IL-23. Overall design: IXORA-R enrolled adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis (static Physician's Global Assessment [sPGA] =3, PASI =12, and BSA =10%). We generated longitudinal gene expression profiles of plaque psoriasis lesions from patients enrolled in the IXORA-R (NCT03573323) trial to directly compare the clinical responses with the sequential molecular and cellular events in the lesional skin and blood.
