CERN Borehole Dataset near SPS and LHC Tunnels

Description This dataset provides digitized and structured borehole logs collected in the vicinity of the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) tunnels at CERN. The dataset was compiled from historical borehole investigation reports and geological studies and harmonized into a machine-readable tabular format to support subsurface geological analysis and modelling. The dataset contains 73 unique boreholes distributed along the SPS and LHC tunnel sections. Coordinate reference systems Spatial coordinates are provided in: WGS84 (latitude, longitude) CH1903+/LV95 (Easting, Northing) The repository includes original borehole PDF reports, a digitized raw dataset representing manually extracted information, and a processed, harmonized dataset used for analysis. This structure ensures transparency of data provenance while enabling direct reuse of the structured dataset.
