Effects of the herbal supplementation with Zingiber officinale Roscoe and Bixa orellana L. on the modification of gut microbiota after force exercise with eccentric component. A randomized, triple-blind, controlled study.

Randomized, triple-blind controlled study in which it is expected that supplementation with a polyherbal mixture of Zingiber officinale Roscoe and Bixa orellana L. are expected to counteract the post-exercise effects produced by training with eccentric muscle strength work, as well as the adaptations that may be influenced by the gut microbiota, among them; the correction of electrolyte imbalance, increased oxidative stress, intestinal permeability, muscle damage, systemic inflammatory response, redox reactions and hydration status.
