Our objective was to create datasets allowing, among other things, to test methods and tools to process data from Fungi metabarcoding sequencing. Consequently, we have computer-generated reads of 250 nucleotides in length from artificial PCRs produced with the Grinder software on ITS1 or ITS2 from Fungi (UNITES v7.1), as diverse as possible. These data can be used for software benchmarking.
