Geo Data Connector

**Geo Data Connector** is a data connector application designed to search, discover, explore and automate the ingestion of geospatial data from external geospatial data sources into Snowflake tables.

It supports both traditional geospatial services (WFS, WMS, WMTS, WCS, CSW, WPS) and modern geospatial API standards (Features, Maps, Tiles, Coverages, Records, Processes). Vector data is delivered as feature tables with GeoJSON geometry. Raster and image data is delivered as pixel tables with spatial coordinates and band values. Map image sources additionally provide Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) files staged for direct download.

Using the application to discover and explore data sources is **completely free**. A usage-based fee applies only when you ingest a dataset into a Snowflake table, and it is charged only when the dataset is successfully updated.

The cost of ingestion includes a fixed fee of $0.50, a row fee of $0.01 per 1,000 rows for the first 100,000 rows (capped at $1.00), and a bulk row fee of $0.01 per 100,000 rows above the first 100,000 rows.

For example, updating a dataset with 50,000 rows costs $0.50 + ($0.01 x 50) = $1.00. Updating a dataset with 8,000,000 rows costs $0.50 + $1.00 + ($0.01 x 79) = $2.29.
