Main Endeavour Field Plankton Sampler Deployed 2020-10-03

The McLane Phytoplankton Sampler (SN 14730-03) was deployed on 2020-10-03 at Main Endeavour Field. Main Endeavour Field is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Plankton Sampler. Plankton Samplers collect samples of plankton from the water column in a time series. Samples are analyzed upon the recovery of the instrument, to provide qualitative and quantitative information about plankton in the water column. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
