Kirby et al. LCGA-17 Data

Results of Crawley's three-chamber test and hole board test for chronically-dosed Dom and Sub strain mice with experimental peptide LCGA-17 (i.n.). The Dom and Sub strains were selectively-bred over 43 generations from the Sabra-M strain following subject segregation based on results of a modified tube test (dominant-submissive relationship test) with fixed pairs of mice in a food competition paradigm tested daily over 14 days prior to breeding. LCGA-17 is a putative anxiolytic agent that in chronic low dose administration shows decreased anxiety-like effects and increased sociability in the stress-resilient Dom strain (three-chamber test) and differential effects between the strains in the hole board test (dose-dependent increase in novel curiosity and exploratory behavior [Dom strain]; increases in these behaviors at the highest dose tested [1.0 mg/kg, i.n.] in the Sub strain).
