The National Topography Ruggedness Map v01 is a contiguous-48 state product depicting topographic ruggedness using Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data at 90 meter cell size and a modified version of the Vector Ruggedness Measure. Source data (ruggedness layer, DEM, and hillshade) are available at: https://nevada.box.com/s/ehgrc4a0elk6wv3xz0sqbfobh2lptrg3 . A forthcoming manuscript explains how VRML differs from VRM, how it was calculated, and provides examples on how it differs in an ecological context.
