Water Quality Monitoring Database (NGMP ID LU11)

The primary objective of the project will be to update the existing KIA Land and Water Use Management Licensing System and develop a new Water Quality Monitoring Information System that can provide information about water-quality conditions through time, manage data in a more efficient way and perform spatial analysis of the effects on water due to land use activities and monitor significant changes that have occurred in water quality, (quality and flow) to ensure that water flowing thorough IOL remains substantially unaffected. Integrating a water monitoring system collected data can be stored, managed and retrieved in a more efficient way and will improve the way KIA is implementing article 20 of the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement.
