<i>Pseudomonas protegens</i> Pf-5 (ATCC BAA-477) is a Gram-negative pseudomonad with utility in leaching copper and gold from electronic scrap materials through the secretion of hydrogen cyanide. Typically, the bacterium grows on rich solid medium with a round, greenish colony morphology. But the greenish hue pales upon cultivation in minimal salts-based agar medium. This dataset comprises pictures of <i>P. protegens</i> Pf-5 growth on a variety of agar media. Incubation conditions were 30 <sup>o</sup>C for variable period of time on different agar media.
