DIALOGUE OF MUSIC AND MOVEMENT: THE INFLUENCE OF GENRE DIVERSITY ON CHOREOGRAPHY

This work explores the impact of a variety of musical genres and styles on the art of dance. It analyzes how the musical genre, rhythmic pattern, chords, and timbre determine the selection of steps (pas), strength, emotionality, and ambiance in choreographic works. The contribution of classical, jazz, modern, electronic, traditional, ethnic, rock, and pop music to choreography is evaluated, emphasizing their significance in creating dances that convey a diversity of cultures, feelings, and current trends. Particular emphasis is placed on how musical accompaniment shapes the emotional component of the dance and increases its impact on audience perception.
