We designed a short-term (2 months) mesocosm experiment and used litterbags to test the effect of temperature increase and fluctuation on (1) decomposition rate of stem and leaf litter of Potamogeton Crispus over time and (2) how these changes affect the microbial diversity and structure of litter surface in the medium-term of decomposition.
