This dataset is a statistical table of the area and stock volume of arbor forests categorized by age group and dominant tree species, derived from the main results of the 9th National Forest Inventory of China. It covers the area and stock volume of young forests, middle-aged forests, near-mature forests and mature forests for each dominant tree species across the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
