VPRS 8166 Unserialised Records

These records were transferred to the Public Record Office for secondary storage purposes.Under Public Record Office Standard 99/05 State Coroner's Office Records Disposal Schedule, section 1.0.0, Body Cards (files of supporting documentation used by a coroner when investigating reported deaths) are temporary records where the investigation leads to an inquest, or determines a death is the result of natural causes. Records of investigations where the cause of death is determined by another court, or are resolved by a chamber hearing, are permanent.The permanent records were serialised as VPRS 10010 Body Cards.
