Head Transcriptomic Analysis of Mustard aphid (Lipaphis erysimi)

Trancriptomic analysis of head segment of mustard aphid (Lipaphis erysimi). Mustard aphid is one of the most damaging insects of mustard plants and feed on phloem sap. During the time of feeding effector molecules is released from salivary gland of aphid. Effector molecules are the proteins released by aphid that can manipulate the host defence response. Therefore, the head segment was detached from body segment. Total RNA was isolated from head segment and transcriptomic data was generated using Illumina.
