Dermal macrophages were sorted from the ears of CCR2-/- mice that were uninfected, injected with PBS or injected with S.aureus strain Newmann 107 CFU/ml live S. aureus was injecetd in 10µl PBS. Dermal macrophages were sorted 3 weeks after the injection of PBS or S.aureus. We aimed to dertermine long lasting changes in gene expression in tissue resident dermal macrophages as a result of infection with S.aureus
