Dataset of "DORES: A Streamlined Software for Design and Operation of Photovoltaic and Electrical Storage Systems in Buildings and Communities"
收藏资源简介:
This paper presents DORES (Design and Operation of Renewable Energy Systems), a streamlined and versatile simulation tool developed to support the planning and optimization of PV and storage solutions across a variety of building typologies and community scales.DORES incorporates both measured and simulated load profiles, offering pre-defined templates based on regional consumption data where high-resolution consumption data may be unavailable. The tool integrates detailed PV and battery models, supports multiple control strategies – from rule-based load following to smart-based optimization– and calculates a range of key performance indicators, such as self-sufficiency, self-consumption, net present value, life cycle cost, and CO2 emissions reduction. Validation against measured data and commercial software PV*SOL demonstrates the accuracy of the tool, with deviations in key metrics typically below 5%. Featuring an intuitive graphical user interface built in MATLAB, DORES is designed for energy researchers, engineers, and policymakers seeking a versatile platform for the design and operation of resilient, low-carbon energy systems.
