Chromosome-Scale Haploid Genome Assembly of the Durian cultivar 'Kan Yao'

Durian (D. zibethinus) is a tropical fruit with high nutritional and commercial value. This study utilized the durian variety 'Kan Yao' as the material, constructing Illumina, HiFi, ONT, and HiC libraries for sequencing. Second and third-generation transcriptome sequencing was performed on tissues or organs such as stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, fruit stalks, and seeds. The objective was to assemble a chromosome-level haploid genome and conduct gene annotation.
