The study aimed to characterize the antibiotic resistance genes, virulence genes and plasmids in bacterial organisms isolated from human patients that visited a healthcare facility and to compare the findings with the molecular data previously obtained from community settings. The study hopes to reveal the genetic relationship between healthcare-associated and community-associated microbiomes.
