Corridor Connections: From the Range, through the Ross, to the Reef Project 4

This project continues on from the previous, focusing on several existing and regularly maintained Landcare sites throughout the Townsville region, extending to the Mount Stuart Range, the Ross River and adjoining tributaries flowing to the Great Barrier Reef. The project objectives are to restore ecological connectivity within this catchment area, by linking Green Corridors throughout the Townsville region by means of revegetation of native species and removal of invasive species at Landcare sites situated adjacent to the Ross River and adjoining tributaries. Participants will have the opportunity to undertake land management activities, including integrated weed control and local provenance plantings on freshwater and coastal ecosystems.
