A nationwide price survey of public kindergarten fees for children aged five over a period of one year revealed that the average price in September 2019 was 264,414 yen. During the period from January 2015 to September 2019 (a span of 57 months), the highest price for public kindergarten fees for children aged five in any month was recorded in January 2015 at 266,460 yen, while the lowest price was observed in April 2016 at 264,172 yen. The price difference between the peak and trough periods of public kindergarten fees for children aged five across the national area, with the highest value in January 2015 and the lowest in April 2016, was 2,287.4398 yen.
