10 samples were normalized to test the automatic gating tool flowEMMi. These 10 samples originated from the measurements of microbial community samples. After removing electronic noise and beads from cell events, all number of cells events in all samples were normalized to 200 000 by FlowJo software. For visualization in FlowJo, make sure to re-scale the axes ranging from 1 to 10 000.
