Everyday situation and life planning of young people.
1. Leisure, media and consumption: frequency of various leisure activities; frequency of leisure activities at home, in the residential quarter/village/district, in the city or in one´s own village, in the region as a whole; leisure activities at weekends predominantly in the place of residence or outside the place of residence; places or Cities of leisure activities outside the place of residence (mention of 3 place names); means of transport used for events outside the place of residence and frequency of use; satisfaction with the accessibility of leisure events or facilities; satisfaction with leisure activities at the place of residence; suggestions for improving leisure activities at the place of residence; membership of an association; membership of a clique; foreigners in the clique; countries of origin of these friends; participation in traditional youth customs (e.g. witch night, rattling) or celebrations (e.g. Halloween) at the place of residence; open naming of these customs; frequency of use of different media in leisure time; frequency and nature of computer and Internet use; watching casting shows; frequency of watching different casting shows; with whom watching casting shows; reasons for watching casting shows; importance of different aspects of candidates at casting shows; role of casting show candidates as role models for other young people; opinion of the high proportion of migrants as casting show candidates; willingness to participate in a casting show; feeling of belonging to a particular scene or group; open naming of this scene; personal meaning of the term supporter/fan; frequency of alcohol consumption; smoking status.
2. Values, future and conflicts: importance of different values and life goals; future pessimism or optimism; probability of future events (e.g. increase in violent conflicts, environmental problems, etc.).); opinion on the relationship between generations; attitude towards foreigners; intention to stay at the place of residence; reasons for intention to move; willingness to return to the place of residence later; destination (open); reasons for staying at home; opinion on the region; self-responsible for well-being at the place of residence; personal life planning (e.g. self-responsible, determined by fate); situations of violent behaviour in the last 12 months; frequency of victim experience related to bullying and cyber-bullying.
3. Religion, faith and church: denomination or religious community; attachment to the church or religious community; self-assessment of religiosity; frequency of prayers; influence of religion and faith on daily actions; belief in life after death; attitude towards religion and faith; frequency of church visits; altar boy; church resignation considered; frequency of experiences with various occult or spiritualistic practices.
4.Politics and social engagement: political interest in general; interest in various political issues; interest in local political issues and nature of local polical issues; institutional trust; democracy satisfaction; political engagement; volunteering; institution of volunteering; opinion on voluntary or social engagement if not engaged.
5. Integration: citizenship (born in Germany and German citizen, German citizen not born in Germany or foreign citizen); duration of residence in Germany; age of entry; birth of parents in Germany (migration background); language dominance in conversations with parents, siblings, friends, at school or university and at work; opinion on Germany, German way of life and integration; identity as German or foreign; consent to statements about integration and immigration.
Demography: sex; age (year of birth); place of residence or county; always in the place of residence; duration of residence in the place of residence, permanent partner; citizenship of the partner (German citizen without a migration background, with a migration background or foreign citizen); married or willing to get married; own children; number of children; desire to have children; professional activity or current activity; participation in vocational qualification measures; type of vocational qualification measures (open); information on vocational and training opportunities in general and in the region; source of information on career choice and training opportunities; desired occupational field ( service and other open); distance to the place of work or the place of training in km or willingness to commute; preferred country / place of employment; experience abroad as an au pair, intern etc.; type of school currently attended; highest level of education; occupational field of current training or employment (service and other open); completed vocational training and occupational field (service and other open); education and occupational group of parents; siblings; number of siblings; living situation or household composition; general life satisfaction.
Additionally coded: current number; disposition code; interviewer code; interview conducted in Trier town, district of Trier Saarburg or Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm); additional survey.
