The Transporting Art program was jointly initiated by the Ministry for Transport and the Ministry for Arts in 1978. The program was funded through corporate sponsorship. Under this program trams were painted by various artists.This series is a collection of records created/collected by the painted Tram Project Co-ordinator of the Ministry for Arts. The collection comprises:- mounted drawings;- bags containing loose drawings submitted by the artists,- printed material containing articles and pictures of painted trams,- photographs (loose photographs and slides,- general files containing correspondence exchanged with the artists and the sponsors.
