EpiDiverse

EpiDiverse is an EU-funded MSCA-ITN consortium (www.epidiverse.eu, 2017-2022) in which 15 PhD student projects collaborate on the analysis of epigenetic variation in a number of plant species that are widely distributed across Europe. A research focus is on bisulfite sequencing-based DNA methylation analysis. Related data are generated in the project for genome assembly, analysis of genetic variation, gene expression, small RNAs and transposable elements. Much of the research in EpiDiverse is on three plant species: Thlaspi arvense (Field pennycress), Populus nigra 'italica' (Black poplar) and Fragaria vesca (Woodland strawberry), but data are generated for a number of additional plant species in some of the PhD projects. Thus umbrella project links projects and data that were generated by different consortium members as part of the EpiDiverse project.
