This data set contains all data used for analyzing the impact of habitat fragmentation on soil microbial functional genes related to carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur cycles in 30 remnant forest patches in Guiyang, China. It includes fragmentation indices of 30 remnants, the abundance of functional genes involved in carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur cycles, and soil property data in 60 interior and edge samples.
