Occurrence and field experimental data for Cirsium arvense and Puccinia punctiformis

This dataset contains two files associated with analyses of the invasive plant Cirsium arvense and its specialist fungal pathogen Puccinia punctiformis. The first file provides georeferenced occurrence records for C. arvense and P. punctiformis compiled from global databases and used for climatic niche analyses and species distribution modelling. The second file contains field-derived response data from sites where P. punctiformis was experimentally released as a biological control agent. These data include measures of pathogen establishment and host population responses used to evaluate the effects of infection on C. arvense performance. Portions of this dataset were derived from previously published sources, including Bean et al., (2024).
