This dataset supplies the raw data for our manuscript“Methods for traceable scanning magnetometry using single nitrogen vacancy centers in diamond: determining orientation, distance and localization ”. The dataset is divided into three main folders: Calibration:This folder contains the data used for the calibration of the scanning NV probe. It includes NetCDF (.nc) files for the stripe and disc scans, SEM images of the calibration structures, and their raw AFM data. The AFM files are in .tiff format and contain the raw topographic height data. Each file is labelled in reference to its figure in the manuscript. The files PMAdisc2.nc and PMAdisc3.nc are additional files whose scans were not shown in figures but the results were used to get the average value of the calibrated NV azimuthal angle. Inverse_AFM:This folder contains the inverse AFM measurements for the three tips - topography and photoluminescence data are provided as .dat files. LumericalSimulationS:This folder contains the Lumerical simulation of the inverse AFM measurements. The data provided is in .fsp format. Note: The .nc files are NetCDF files and can be opened in Python using packages such as xarray or netCDF4. They contain structured scan data including the scan coordinates, ODMR data, fluorescence counts, magnetic-field channels, and topography data where available. The .tiff files can be opened with Gwyddion or other image/data-analysis software capable of reading scientific AFM/.TIFF files.In the final folder, the .fsp files are Lumerical project files and require Ansys Lumerical to open.
