Marine sediments are a repository of a huge amount of diverse prokaryotic cells. The main goal of this project is to analyze and identify the distribution of core microbial taxa along a latitudinal gradient in the Peruvian coast, which includes stations nearby the scientific base Machu Picchu in the Antarctic .
