EJC ipaRt: Transcriptome-wide definition of stable EJC RNA interactions in cytoplasm of adult flies. EJC ipaRt

The eukaryotic exon junction complex (EJC) is essential in post-transcriptional control of gene expression. EJC is deposited at mRNAs during nuclear splicing mainly at sites located -20 to -24 nucleotides upstream of de novo formed exon-exon junctions which have been defined as canonical EJC binding sites. We present here a novel approach for clean isolation of protein-complexes associated to their RNA targets (ipaRt), a prerequisite to investigate cytoplasmic EJC-mRNA holo-complexes in adult flies.
