This dataset, named TAUKADIAL, contains audio recordings of elderly individuals describing images under the guidance of clinicians. Participants provide their descriptions in both Chinese and English, and the dataset is annotated with whether each individual has mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or normal cognitive decline. The enrolled elderly participants range in age from 61 to 87 years, with a mean age of 72 years. In addition to the participants' image descriptions, the dataset also includes cognitive scores measured via the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). The training set is composed of 222 samples from individuals with MCI and 165 control samples, with 201 Chinese-language samples and 186 English-language samples across the entire training set. The research tasks include classification and regression tasks, which aim to predict mild cognitive impairment and cognitive scores.
