The article proposes a different reading of a passage from Pausanias (VII, 22,8) in which the Periegetes states that Tritea in Achaia was founded by Kelbidas, coming from Cuma in the country of the Opici (Campania). But Pausanias offers us a different clue, when stating that the oikist was the son of Ares. He would then be a Mamertine, and therefore probably a Campanian mercenary.
