China in Indian Strategic Thinking, 2019
收藏资源简介:
This project studied recent and contemporary developments in India's securtiy policy within the larger framework of geopolitical developments affecting South Asia, and especially the rise of China. India's location, size, population and resources have traditionally ensured the country's role as a regional great power. This position is now under pressure from China, which is gradually gaining influence in India's neighboring areas and in the rest of the region. One key issue is how China's growth affects India's security policy. China and India's economic growth has changed the geopolitical dynamics of Asia, and is likely to continue doing so in the future. The project addressed two main themes. The first was how China's expansion affects India's relationship with the neighboring region. The second was how India tries to balance China'a growth by entering strategic partnerships with other countries outside the region.
