A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Aomori City revealed that the average price of 1 kg of cherries in July 2024 was 3,840 yen. This is 279 yen cheaper than the national average of 4,119 yen. During the period from January 2015 to July 2024 (over the past 20 months), the month with the highest cherry price at supermarkets within Aomori City was June 2021, at 4,503 yen, while the month with the lowest cherry price was July 2018, at 1,986 yen. The price difference between the peak and lowest price periods for cherries in the Aomori City area is 279 yen.
