Parcels (Open Data)

This dataset provides a simplified, public‑use version of Barry County’s parcel boundaries. It is intentionally designed as open data, allowing anyone to view, download, export, and incorporate the parcel geometry into their own GIS projects, applications, or analyses. Only non‑sensitive attributes are included, such as parcel identification numbers, acreage, and basic geometry. All ownership, assessment, tax, and other restricted fields have been removed to protect privacy and comply with county data‑sharing policies. Full or partial parcel attribute datasets are available for purchase from Barry County Land Information Services (LIS) on a per‑record basis. Users who obtain these datasets can join them to this open data parcel layer using the parcel identification number to create their own complete parcel dataset. This layer is not intended to serve as a full parcel record and should not be used for legal, financial, or property‑specific decision‑making.
