These are records relating to an investigation into a proposal by Coal Cliff Collieries Pty. Ltd. to dump waste coal on the Illawarra Escarpment, and also to consider the impact of development upon the area. These are the records of the first stage of the inquiry which concentrated on the coal waste problem. No further inquiries have been held.
