Türkiye Sectoral Innovation and Technology Ownership Dataset, 2009–2025

This dataset accompanies the manuscript Innovation Capacity and Domestic Technology Ownership in Türkiye, 2009–2025. It provides a balanced sector-year panel for 20 production and technology-related sectors in Türkiye over the period 2009–2025. The dataset combines domestic and foreign live Patent and Utility Model stocks derived from TÜRKPATENT administrative records with sectoral R&D expenditure, R&D human resources and structural transformation indicators from official statistical sources. The dataset is designed to examine the relationship between R&D capacity, live intellectual property stocks and domestic technology ownership across Türkiye’s production sectors. It contains aggregated sector-level data and does not include firm-level or personal information.
