Flume experiments to investigate the information of hummocky cross-stratification under combined flow

Large-scale flume experiments were conducted in the Total Environment Simulator at the University of Hull in order to study if flow that wave interacting with current at right angle can generate hummocky cross-stratification (HCS). This dataset provides detailed information of rippled bed and bed sedimentary structure scanned by 3D terrestrial scanner. In addition, the data of velocities recorded by Acoustic Doppler Velocimeters (ADV) are included, to calculate near-bed turbulence kinetic energy (TKE) change with bed elevation.
