Development and validation of a high density SNP genotyping array for African oil palm

High-density single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping arrays are powerful tools that can measure genetic polymorphism within a population, making them useful in genetic diversity studies, quantitative trait loci (QTLs) mapping and expediting breeding programs through genomic selection. The aim of this study was to develop a dense oil palm SNP array and illustrate its applications across oil palms of diverse backgrounds.
