The objective of this research was to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to identify scientific studies on Life Cycle Assessment and other environmental management tools applied in the management of solid wood waste. The topic contributes significantly to building mechanisms for cleaner production, given that many articles highlighted waste as an important substrate for energy generation, which avoids the use of more polluting marginal technologies.
